Sounds a great idea Allegra. Towards the end of last year and the beginning of this life events have meant I’ve lost motivation and concentration. I have a few ideas, and, hopefully, committing to a page a day will help kick start them. Thanks xx
I love focusing on taking incremental steps Allegra so this resonated deeply. I've made a commitment to publishing at least 1 personal essay per week here on Substack this year but the essay is most certainly created line by line over each day of the week. It's pretty much the only way I can manage to do it–especially with a 3.5 year old and 6 month old in tow.
There is no other way with small children than to just write in the gaps. But although it's challenging and often frustrating, I've found that only having those small windows has forced me to be more productive and focused - when you know you only have ten minutes to write, you make yourself get words down much more effectively than if you know you've got ten hours and, you know, maybe you'll get round to it later!
You can count me in Allegra! What a lovely idea; especially when it does not have to be limited to writing - it can be anything - a doodle, sketch, a list...
Love what you said about creative practice not just being writing or painting but also editing, dreaming etc.

We can do this!!
I'd like to join your 1 page a day challenge this year!
Few things get me out of bed in the morning like writing something fun and manageable with like-minded people!
Yay, let's do this!
