Oh my. I can’t stand Vine. When he is away and others present his show it’s so much better. I’ve screamed at the radio so often when he is on. He’s deliberately contentious. I refuse to listen to him now, he makes my blood boil and that’s not healthy.

You are so right, if they keep us broken we don’t have the energy to fight back. The world, in general, is shite. Kids will probably never be able to afford a house until they are in their 50s, the NHS is shot, they have massive debt. Of course they have mental health issues, I’m pretty sure government want it that way so they can then gaslight them and keep them broken.

My 29 year old is a production assistant in the West End, sounds posh doesn’t it? Pays £25K a year and she lives in a house share in a grotty part of London and struggles for money rent is so high. She has no hope of saving a deposit, buys her clothes from charity shops, eats cheaply etc. what hope is there for her? She’s 29!

Life could be and should be joyful. Are we really leaning back into Victorian ‘values’ again?

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

He's so smug and self-important. Somehow I always seem to get stuck listening to him when I'm driving somewhere for lack of anything else on. (This time taking the kids to an aquarium!)

It's so hard for young people right now! It's hard enough being in your 20s without all the struggles they have to face. Plus the actual world is literally on fire, that's quite a weight on your shoulders. Mine are only 5 and 3 - I dread to think what kind of world they'll inherit. I can only hope something radically changes before they're grown up!

Two of mine, 24 and 27, aren’t having children mainly because they don’t want to bring them into this world, plus other reasons too. Just 1, the 29 year old, wants them and is in no financial position to do so for the foreseeable future. They all have mental health issues, none of which are addressed, they seem to have spent the last decade on waiting lists and getting no where.

I'm sorry to hear that, it's far, far too common. Our society is so broken right now.

It really is. Thank you for writing so eloquently. (Nicky Cambel on 5 live is very good for discussing politics - he is compassionate and never plays devils advocate)

Fuck yeah to all of this, I live in the US, which we obviously have our own issues with mental health and supporting people. Thank you for reminding all of us that it doesn’t have to be hard, life is quite beautiful and the systems our countries have in place are trying to convince us that it should be hard and miserable. What am important topic to shed light on.
