I think of creativity as a life force rather than separate from it. So I apply creativity to all facets of my life.πŸ’•

Oh I love creativity as an act of resistance and rebellion! Also I think I struggle with making the time to be creative with no outcome/point to the exercise. And yet perhaps the point is the act in itself xx

I totally know what you mean! I often struggle if there doesn't seem to be a "point" - I feel like I'm wasting time if I'm not working on something for an external reason. But yes, the act itself is definitely the point. And I need to take that lesson to heart too!

This is an AWESOME message! Thank you Allegra for writing and sharing it.

The power of our creativity as humans is something I’ve come to learn over the last few months and those truths echo and resonate so much with what you’ve said here.

The moment I realized I could also create in my own way, It CATAPULTED me out of my depression, and it ignited purpose within me, to create, share, and help others recognize they can do this too!

People need to recognize the LIE being told to them that β€œcreativity is a scarce, unknowable thing and is not available to all”. Nothing could be further from the truth. We all have our own ways to create and it’s something that is ESSENTIAL to our well being.

I love this article! So true! If I couldn’t create with art, color, words, play, my life would suck!
