Welcome to Creative Fix

This is your creative sanctuary, where you can discover ways to use writing, art and crafting to nurture your soul, connect to others, and rise up against the system.

Here we particularly celebrate and amplify voices that have traditionally been silenced by our society, and we affirm neurodiverse approaches and those that support a range of health needs.

If you’re yearning to be more creative, but feel the standard models of productivity don’t suit your needs, you’re in the right place to build a creative practice tailored to YOU.

Hello creative soul, welcome home.

You can subscribe to Creative Fix for free to read monthly (at least) posts from me on creativity, neurodivergence, motherhood, belonging, mental health, activism, and the ways these different elements intersect.

Free subscribers also receive a bundle of inspirational phone wallpaper images, to give you motivation and encouragement in your creative practice.

If you want to do more than just read - if you want to embrace your own inner creativity in a way that suits your needs - you can find ways to engage more deeply with this platform below.

About me

My name is Allegra Chapman and I am an author, columnist, former publishing editor and creative therapy practitioner. I am also an AuDHD mother of two. As such, I am passionate about supporting people who don’t fit into traditional boxes to find their voices.

The world needs a greater variety of stories; and you need, and deserve, to express your fullest self.

If you have creative dreams, or you’re simply yearning for a more creative lifestyle, but that feels out of reach right now, then I want to help.

I need you to understand that it’s not you that’s the problem - it’s the standard productivity advice and the publishing system that’s flawed. But I managed to make writing work for me, and I want to help you do the same. I also want to introduce you to other writers and creatives that get it and will cheer you on every step of the way.
